The purpose of this blog is not music, but sometimes we can't resist to share with you some very good things. We find the following video clip and music very creative so why not to share it with you.
For the little introduction: Metronomy is an electronic music group from UK, more precisely from Devon and they released their second album in September.

Illustre fabrique
I just quote their website: "L'Illustre Fabrique is a collective composed by two french freelance graphic designers." I have just seen a part of their work through their website and I found they are very talented. Just by reading the name of their work, I can guess that they are from brittany... but I'd like to know more about them!

Merry hungry Christmas
Isn't French food an Art? A hours before Christmas, while we finish packing to go home (France) for the Holiday Season. We would like to share the blog of an american desert cook, David Lebovitz, who lives in Paris. I'll let you browse the content of his website, full of cooking recipes and info about Paris.
Before leaving, let me show you what we are mouth watering for (pictures from David Lebovitz website) and that we will be eating in a few hours. By the way...Merry Christmas

Francoise Nielly: French painter
Francoise Nielly is a french painter who lives now in Saint Ouen in the north of Paris. One of the reason why I like her work be is that she paints with knives. She studied at the beaux-art and she works as illustrator and photoprapher for famous advertisement agencies before to come back to her favorite activity: painting.

- Brand Nu (UK)
- Gary Fernández (Spain)
- Matt W. Moore (USA)
- Sebastian Onufszak (Germany)
- Ville Savimaa (Finland)

Someting's missing
Just a... is a funny illustrator. In her French blog she pictured her understanding of this winter's fashion for jumpers (Pull Over, Sweater...name it as you wish) it seems that there is always something missing : no sleeves, huge decollete, too short, or the 3.

DRUKS - New brand from Paris
Druks have just been launched in Paris. Druks is a new brand of urban style t-shirts. The graphism are quite original. And you don't even need to go in Paris to get those french style t-shirt, since you can buy them online. The style is both fresh and agressive. Some of those t-shirts don't allow you to say hello to your gran'ma (not even your girlfriend for one of them) like this.
Even the brandname itself gives an idea of the culture of the creators. Druks makes me think of a (pre)mix of Drugs, Drink and Drunk. Am I right?

I love you but
I will just quote the site I love you but and you'll understand all it's about:
"This is a picture book about the moment in a relationship when you realise you don't love someone completely, because there is one little thing that keeps bothering you. When it bothers you so much it actually makes you physically cringe, you know it's time to say; "I love you, but..."

Cliche of France
I don't like cliche and I hesitated for a long before deciding to publish this video. This lovely video is based on a song from Edith Piaf. I can't deny she is a great singer but I don't want to confirm through this blog that every single French is a fan of Edith Piaf. She's not the only French singer, symbol of love and romantism. Maybe it's true but I don't like the cliche that french are so romantic!
But I like the graphism of the video, which is quite simple: black and white drawing. But thanks to this animation, everybody can understand the lyrics of this song without knowing french language. Moreover, this video is actually quite funny.
