Firekites: Chalk stop motion

Here is an awesome stop motion chalk animation comparable to the more famous animated video such as my morning elegance, Sorry I'm late and Muto. The soundtrack is Firekites' from album 'The Bowery'. This video has been co-directed by Yanni Kronenberg and Lucinda Schreiber

  1. I have always enjoyed watching things in stop animation and yours I found most interesting. I love the medium of chalk that you used. I loved that you enbraced the messy foggy qualities of chalk and how you used them to your advantage when you tranformed and moved your characters around from board to board. I enjoy the playful childlike qualities of this stop motion piece and the way you bring us right back to the beginning and then back to the reality of the space that you are working in.

  2. Thanks Linda for your comments. But I'd like to clarify that I am not the author of this motion. But for the same reason as you mentioned I spotted it on french blast because I found it very interesting and beautiful.
