Christina Ung is born in Thailand. Since she left Bangkok at 3 years old, she lives in Canada where she works as an illustrator for many canadian magasines and other clients. I love her vintage style in her work.

Cardboard animation
Cardboard animation has been made by Sjors Vervoort who is a Netherland based illustrator. His animation really makes think to Blu. I find this kind of street art very awesome and I can't imagine how many hours they have spent to produce it!

Apparently the authors focused on facts and the true and exhaustive events which have made the short history of this new country.
Upcoming book events in Singapore:
* Sun, 18 Oct 2009, 2pm, National Library: “History as literature: the writing of Singapore: A Biography”

The invisible man aka Liu Bolin

Liu Bolin is a 35-year-old chinese artist from Shandong in China. He is famous for his photos where he manages to camouflage himself in any surroundings, no matter how difficult they might be.
Liu works on a single photo for up to 10 hours at a time, to make sure he gets it just right, but he achieves the right effect: sometimes passers by don’t even realize he is there until he moves.
